Lilliput Longarm Octopus (Macrotritopus delfilippi)

The Lilliput Longarm Octopus (Macrotritopus delfilippi) mimics flatfish on the sea floor. The adults can also blend into a sandy sea floor with amazing ability by changing the color and pattern of their skin. This paralarval stage is still living life in the water column and has not yet settled out to live life the bottom, as an adult form  adults live on the sea floor.
