Maps of the Spanish Armada (July 22 and 24, 1588), Two cards (V-VI) with the Spanish and English fleet in The Channel near the Isle of Portland and Weymouth, within an ornamental frame. At the top in the frame is a cartouche with the portrait of Francis Drake. Between the anchors, spears and banners a commemorative coin with three ships on one side and the Zeeland weapon on the other. Bottom left a coin depicting Queen Elizabeth I in a triumphal cart, with palm branch and a book with the first words of the Lord's Prayer in Dutch. On the reverse of the coin, shown on the right, is a tree with a bird's nest in the branches. The birds defend themselves against a bird of prey in the sky. In the middle, Francis Drake hands out money to his crew from a captured galleon. In addition, the prisoners are taken away.
