Apollo 12 astronaut on the moon

Apollo 12 was launched on 14 Nov, 1969, and was only the second US manned lunar landing mission. Astronauts Charles Conrad Jr. & Alan L. Bean both walked on the moon, collecting samples, taking pictures, investigating the Surveyor III spacecraft & setting up the Apollo Lunar Surface Experiments Package (ALSEP). This was left behind to transmit information back to earth.
