Title: Australopithecus anamensis Head Reconstruction
Caption: Reconstruction of the appearance of Australopithecus anamesis based on the skull MRD discovered in the Afar region in Ethiopia. This species lived about 4.2 to 3.8 million years ago in Eastern Africa. The skull has a combination of human-like and ape-like features. Some authors suggest that this species was the direct ancestor of Australopithecus afarensis and is related with the human lineage.
