Dolores Ibarruri, Spanish communist politician

Dolores Ibarruri was born into the family of a miner. She was one of the organizers of the Communist Party. In 1930 she was elected a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, in 1932 - a member of the Politburo and Secretary of the Central Committee. Dolores Ibarruri was very popular. The workers called her Pasionaria (Fiery). Since 1942 she was the Secretary General, and since 1960 - the chairman of the Party.
