GIUSEPPE DIOTTI (1779-1846). ITALIAN PAINTER.. Ugolino della Gherardesca (ca. 1220-1289). Count of Donoratico. Aristocrat and naval commander of the Italian city of Pisa. Condemned to death during a revolution in 1289. He was imprisoned in the Muda (Torre dei Gualandi), together with his sons Gaddo and Uguccione, and his grandsons Nino "the Brigand" and Andelmuccio.
