Here, the famous opera composer was born, on 22nd of December, 1858. He became world famous for his operas Madame Butterfly, Turandot, Tosca or La bohème. Most famous is his song "Nessun dorma" (nobody sleeps) from Turandot including the phrase "vincero" (I will win), interpreted by Luciano Pavarotti.
