Three kingdoms period, Korea: pensive Bodhisattva, gilt-bronze statue of Buddha, 5th-6th century. This statue strikes a classic contemplative pose, most common statue's pose at that time. The crown is a unique combination of the sun and a crescent moon, often called a solar eclipse. The storage decoration of the solar eclipse originally originated and developed from the crown of Sassanid Persia and spread to the east through the silk road.
