Maud Menten, Canadian Biochemist

Maud Leonora Menten (1879-1960), Canadian physician and biochemist who made significant contributions to enzyme kinetics and histochemistry. She is primarily known for her work with Leonor Michaelis on enzyme kinetics in 1913. The relationship between reaction rate and enzyme-substrate concentration is known as the Michaelis-Menten equation.
