c.1700 dolls house made for Petronella Brandt-Oortman - (born Amsterdam 1656 - died. Amsterdam 27th November 1716) - Made between 1686 and 1690, the house was made of precious materials, the cabinet invested with turtle and tin and containing many works of art. When Petronella died the house passed into the hands of her daughter Hendrina. In 1821, the dolls house was bought by the government and is now in the Rijksmuseum. ©TopFoto.
