Hemp fiber, medicinal drugs, marijuana, hashish and hash oil are obtained from the plant. It is one of the 50 fundamental herbs of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the only plant that produces cannabinoids (approximately 40 of them) which have numerous well-documented beneficial effects: stimulation of hunger in chemotherapy and AIDS patients, decrease of intraocular pressure, analgesic, antispasmodic, antibacterial and expectorant.
