Vinegar eel, Turbatrix aceti, free-living nematodes that can be found feeding on the microbial culture called mother of vinegar that is use in the production of vinegar. They are non-parasitic and considered harmeless but are removed from vinegar by pasteurization. Magnification: 50x at 35mm.
