Boudicca (Boadicea) 1st century British queen of the Iceni after her defeat. Overwhelmed by the Romans under Suetonius, Boudicca is said to have taken poison. The location of the battle is unknown, but some think it is likely to have been at the junction of the Fosse Way and Watling Street in Leicestershire, England. Wood engraving c1870.
