Salamander embryo deformed by acid rain pollution

Deformed embryo of the spotted salamander, Ambystoma maculatum, raised experimentally in low Ph H2O levels similar to those found in acid rain contaminated waters. The effects on embryonic development can be compared with a second image E810/002, an healthy embryo raised in normal Ph H2O levels.
