Title: Melanoma of Iris, Medical Illustration, 1895
Caption: Melanoma of the iris. Historical watercolor drawing of the eye of a man aged 58, showing a small pigmented (black) nodule protruding from the iris near the pupillary margin. Microscopically no sarcomatous elements were found, the nodule consisting entirely of pigment cells. It was therefore determined likely a melanoma. Drawn in June 1895 by Leonard Mark.
