Astronaut Russell L Schweickart, Lunar Module pilot, took this photograph of Scott during EVA (Extravehicular activity). Inside the lunar module was Apollo 9 commander Jim McDivitt. The crew tested the orbital rendezvous and docking procedures that made the lunar landings possible.
