Foreign Minister Koki Hirota after the epoch making meeting of the Privy Council.The meeting of the Privy Council to decide the question finally of the abrogation of the Washington Naval Treaty was held in the Imperial Palace attended by the Emperor. Baron Hiranuma, president of the committee appointed to study the question made the report, favoring the abrogation, following the decision reached at the committee meeting on the 11th, Baron Kitokuro Ichiki called for vote on the Question, for which the Privy Council voted unanimously, in favor of the abrogation.
