Hugo Sperrle (1885 – 1953) German field marshal of the Luftwaffe during World War II. Before the war he was commander of the Condor legion in Spain during the Spanish Civil War. His forces were deployed solely on the Western Front and the Mediterranean throughout the war. Seen here at his 1946 War crimes trial.
