Great Hall, Hampton Court Palace, London, 1893. Started by Cardinal Wolsey in 1514, Hampton Court Palace passed to King Heny VIII in 1529 when Wolsey fell from favour. It was extensively altered by Henry, who built the Great Hall, the last great medieval hall to be built in England. The last monarch to use the Palace was George II.
