Frederick V (1596-1632) Elector Palatine 1610-1623, King of Bohemia 1619-1620 known as The Winter King. Married Elizabeth, daughter of James I of Great Britain and VI of Scotland. Accepted the throne of Protestant Bohemia but was defeated in November 1620 at the Battle of the White Mountain by the Roman Catholic forces of the Holy Roman Emperor and spent the rest of his life in exile.
