'The Studio from the Balcony', late 19th century. The exotic studio of Dutch-born British painter Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema (1836-1912) which was used as settings for his paintings. The house in Grove End Road, St John's Wood in London, had previously belonged to another painter, James Tissot. From "Modern Art Monographs".
