While the 'intellgence' of these machines will always be inferior to that of humans, machines have the advantage in that they can perform repetitive tasks over a longer period with great efficiency. Machines designed by al-Jazari include 'Castle Clock', 'Robotic Man', 'Musical Boat' and 'Elephant Water Clock'.
