Myopic Degeneration

A person with myopia is someone who is shortsighted or nearsighted. This is because the focal point of the light entering the eye falls in front of the retina instead of on it. This most often is because the eye is optically too powerful for its axial length or too long for its optical power. In the case of myopic degeneration there are progressive fundus changes that get worse over time.
