Bobbin lace cap with pergola with wound columns, Black Bobbin lace cap: Chantilly lace. A fan-shaped model with an extended point is divided into a collar piece, a middle piece, a pergola with eight columns and an edge of peacock-tailed shells. A fairly coarse lattice base is only empty in the collar piece, but is also strewn with pulps. The collar piece is decorated with a closed garland of bindweed. The pergola has columns that are wrapped with garlands and an interior decor of high, triangular bouquets, which are symmetrical in relation to the middle and largest bouquet. Flower wreaths depend on this, through which the pergola terrace runs straight through. The shells are more than half a circle deep and alternately filled with radiating, intertwined pointed and oval links and with palmettes, accompanied by a daisy. Small inner shells consist of a bouquet with a hanging oak leaf border. Along the closure a cross row of braided links., anonymous, Belgium, c. 1860 - c. 1880, silk, bobbin lace, h 290 cm × w 180 cm.
