ANON. Maharaja Juddha Shamsher Jang Bahadur Rana, Prime Minister and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Nepal (?-1952, ruled 1932-45). A half-length portrait with brown background. The Maharaja, shown full-face, is wearing a jewelled crown with a bird of paradise plume and a black coat, with gold epaulettes, elaborately embroidered with jewels. He wears seven orders including the Grand Croix de la Legion d’Honneur, the order of the Star of Nepal, the Star of India and the Order of the Indian Empire.
