Court house, Dayton, Ohio, c1902. The Montgomery County Courthouse (on left) was designed in Greek Revival style by Howard Daniels and built in 1847. The limestone building, also known as the Old Courthouse, was modelled on the 5th century BC Temple of Hephaestus in Athens, Greece. In 1881-1884, a new, larger county courthouse was built beside the original building. The two were connected by a hallway,.
