Lincoln Ellsworth and his pilot Herbert Hollick-Kenyon are found by Discovery II following their flight to Antarctica. The two explorers were discovered January 16, 1936, after going missing. Lincoln Ellsworth (May 12, 1880 - May 26, 1951) was a polar explorer from the United States and a major benefactor of the American Museum of Natural History. Herbert Hollick-Kenyon (17 April 1897 - 30 July 1975) was a British aircraft pilot who made significant contributions towards aviation in Antarctica.
