William III and Mary II, King and Queen of Great Britain and Ireland from 1688, (1932). The Protestant William of Orange (1650-1702) and Mary Stuart (1662-1694) came to the throne following the Glorious Revolution. They ruled together until Mary's death in 1694, after which William reigned alone.
