'Margaret of Anjou', (1430-1482), 1830. Margaret of Anjou (1430-1482) of the  House of Valois. Queen of England by marriage to King Henry VI from 1445-1461 and from 1470-1471 a principle figure in the Wars of the Roses she excluded Lancastrian Richard of York, and spent the last years of her life as an exile in France.
