Hole Punch Cloud

"Fallstreak" hole in altocumulus clouds. This phenomena occurs when the super-cooled water droplets that make-up the cloud freeze, often as the result of an aircraft passing through the cloud. The frozen particles eventually grow to fallout size and descend, thus the name "fallstreak".
