Jacob de Wit (1695-1754) Triumph of the Three Christian Virtues oil on panel. De Wit worked as a decorative painter in Amsterdam from about 1715 until his death. He was much in demand as a painter of ceilings and as a skilful painter of trompe l'oeil reliefs.
