Duke of Wellington's campaign bed, Walmer Castle, Kent, c1980-c2017. The campaign bed, in the castle's Duke of Wellington Room, retains its original horsehair mattress and bedding. Walmer Castle was built by Henry VIII. It became the official residence of the Warden of the Cinque Ports, of which the Duke of Wellington was one in the 19th century.
