On the front a three-masted sailing to the right is depicted at sea with a figure on the prow. On the stern a flag with an image of the Leiden keys, in the two top flags an A and an S. The ship fires on the port side. Under the sea the inscription: FELICITER. And around the caption: ASSERTO.PER.VULCANUM.NEPTUNO.PAX. The reverse shows the crowned coat of arms of Leiden, with MDC and LXVII (1667) dated on either side. Above a four line inscription: TRIBUUM PRAEF. OB. OPERAM PRAE STITAM .. Around a banderol the inscription: E.FOCO.REFOCILLATIO, 1892.
