Prussian and Austrian cavalry at The Battle of Königgrätz, also known as the Battle of Sadowa, Sadová, or Hradec Králove, 3rd July, 1866. It was the decisive battle of the Austro-Prussian War, and resulted in the defeat of the Austrian Empire by the Kingdom of Prussia. From Hutchinson's History of the Nations, published 1915.
