Launch Pad 39A

Launch Pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center, in Florida, between launches of the space shuttle. After each launch, workers have to refurbish the pad, damaged by the heat and flames created during the launch. This pad is still in use, undergoing modifications to work with newer programs and spacecraft.
