GERMANY BERLIN 1930s. Original text ... ELLI BEINHORN AGAIN ON WORLD FLIGHT. The outstanding German pilot Elli Beinhorn, who had just received the Hindenburg trophy from the Reich President for her great flying achievements in 1932, has started a new world flight, which should be a commercial flight for Germany and its national awakening. The pilot completed the first stage of the flight from Berlin to Constantinople in 10 3/4 hours without a stopover, thus completing a new record performance with her Heinkel sports aircraft, which owns an 80 PS Hirth engine.
