Exhibition at Bullock's Museum of Bonaparte's Carriage, Taken at Waterloo. January 10, 1816. Thomas Rowlandson. Bullock's Museum, or The Egyptian Hall at 22 Piccadilly, allowed Londoners to view current sensations such as the Hottentot Venus, Polish dwarf, Irish giant and Napoleon's carriage. Built by Goeting, the carriage had been taken after the Battle of Waterloo, on June 18, 1815, by Major von Keller, who sold it to the British Government. Once Wlliam Bullock acquired and exhibited the carriage, he made 35,000 pounds from ticket sales.
