HISTORY OF PHOTOGRAPHY "Surveillance photography", the photographic surveillance used as a deterrent for the implementation of vandalism or petty theft, or as a means of supporting law enforcement investigations. The first services included the addition of photographers to security personnel, who monitored from rooftop posts and were ready to intervene promptly to document and record the circumstances of any infringements. They were the precursors of what, with the evolution of technology, then became automated video surveillance. In the photo, a surveillance photographer in action on the roof.
