The Duke of Edinburgh was installed as Grand Master of the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators of the British Empire in an impressive ceremony at the Grocers' Hall, London, E.C. to-night (Thursday). The Guild was founded in 1929 on the lines of the old city Guilds. Its main objects are to further the efficiency of mercantile flight and upheld the dignity and prestige of air pilots and air navigators. The Queen is the Patron. October 22, 1953.
