Portable altar Travel altar, triptych, with the Christ standing in the grave between two angels. In closed condition, the altar is rounded from above, opened, it has a niche and a half niche in each wing. In the niche, the half-figure of Christ with crown of thorns and loincloth rises above the edge of the tomb. A linen cloth hangs over this, partially covering the niches in front of the tomb. Christ points with the right hand to the wound in his side, while he raises the left hand to show the nail wound. On the left on the tomb three ointment pots (albarelli), on the right are the three dice. In the background the cross, in which there is another nail and on which the table with I.N.R.I ., furthermore a separate lance and a part of the cane with sponge. In each of the half-niches an angel, standing on a forward, profiled pedestal, placed on an ascending bottom, these bases have a niche on each side and above that a flat cover with a truncated corner. The left angel is probably holding a fragment of the stem of a lily, the right is probably a part of a sword, given the round button on his left hand. Both wear a diadem and over the albe, under which a bare foot protrudes, a choir hood closed by a spang. The large niche is formed by a narrow and behind it a wide concave, separated left and right by a thin column with capital. These wear a curved bead and openwork tracery. Between the rear wall and the rear concave a continuous bead, connected to a low wall that protrudes above the tomb. The tracery is part of the bead in both half niches. The concave moldings show large and small rosettes, interspersed with 'pearls', Man of Sorrows, 'Imago Pietatis', 'Erbärmdebild', 'Schmerzensmann', the upright Christ showing his wounds, usually bearing the crown of thorns, and accompanied by the instruments of the Passion, standing or sitting in his tomb (angel (s)), anonymous, Brussels, c. 1525 - c. 1540, oak (wood), rozetten, kogels, slot en scharnieren, gilding, h 23.3 cm × w 1.
