Mimetite from Tsumeb, Namibia

Mimetite, lead chloro-arsenate, is an attractive bright yellow mineral. It is related to a mineral called pyromorphite which has phosphorus instead of arsenic in its structure. Both minerals occur in fine crystals, but mimetite crystals are far less common. The world's premier locality for these is at Tsumeb, Namibia, where mimetite crystals up to a centimeter long occur, some of them even transparent.
