'Bruce lifted his battle-axe high in the air, then brought it crashing down upon the helmet of Bohun', 1314, (1905). King Robert the Bruce of Scotland kills Sir Henry de Bohun, an English knight, at the Battle of Bannockburn. Illustration from Our Island Story by H E Marshall, published by T C & E C Jack Ltd, (London and Edinburgh, 1905). The book gave a very biased and pro-British view of history.
