Title: Bedouin Warrior,20th Century
Caption: Bedouin warrior on camel-back. Bedouin warriors. The Bedouin are nomadic Arab people whose territory stretched from the deserts of North Africa to the sands of the Middle East. They are traditionally divided into tribes, or clans, and share a common culture of herding camels and goats. Camels were the main food source and method of transportation. The well-regulated traditional habit of Bedouin tribes of raiding other tribes, caravans, or settlements is known in Arabic as ghazw.
