Triumphal arch erected at the time of the coronation of King James I, 1604 (1903). James VI of Scotland's (1566-1625) English coronation took place on 25 July 1603. This is one of the seven temporary wooden triumphal arches built for a formal procession by the King through the City of London in 1604. From London in the Time of the Stuarts, by Sir Walter Besant.
