Caption: Entry of Antipope John XXIII (1360-1554) in Constanta to celebrate the "Council of Constance" (1414) convened by a proposal from the emperor Sigismund, to end the Great Schism. He declared the superiority of the latter on the Pope and deposed three popes: John XXIII, Benedict XIII and Gregory XII, and elected Martin V as pope only in Christendom. Engraving.
