Spain, Teruel, San Pedro Church, Chapel of the Lovers of Teruel

The Funerary Chapel of the "Lovers of Teruel" is dedicated to Isabel and Juan Diego, who, according to a legend, lived in the 13th century and died of grief due to the opposition of Isabel's family to their wedding. Faced with this demonstration of love, the people decided to bury them together. The sarcophagi, where the mummies of Isabel and juan Diego were laid to rest, were created by Juan de Avalos.
