From a set of twenty-two windows, each with six scenes devoted to the Life of Saint Bernard, made for the glazed cloister at Altenberg, near Cologne.
Saint Bernard and companion stand in white habits, surrounded by six soldiers on an island. In the yellow background is the town of Metz at left, cavalry and infantry in battle at right. The whole is framed by arch on columns.
