Tan Bristlemouth (Cyclothone pallida)

The Tan Bristlemouth (Cyclothone pallida) is a mesopelagic fish found throughout the major oceans of the world. The species is most commonly encountered from 600 to 1800m depth. This specimen was collected by an ROV from 700m depth in the Gulf of Mexico, in July 2019. Because this specimen was collected by an ROV, it is not damaged  normally this species is damaged when it comes up intrawling nets. Thi is a mont condition specimen.
