STOCKHOLM 1960-tal.. Orig. bildtext... HE CHOSE A STREET CAR Mr. Albert Gademan, a 62 year old worker at a delivery company, one day got fed up with being a lodger. He wanted to have a home of his own and simultaneously to get away from the great herd. He has always been a bit of an individualist and hates to shere his life with somebody else in a lodging house. To get a digs in Stockholm today, however, is absolutely impossible, and it seemed fully hopeless when one day he read an ad issued by the Stockholm Tramway Co. in which the company offered som discarded streets cars. At a very low figure he bought one of the cars and took a lease of a very small plot just outside the city. (...) By and by the old car turned into a cosy little flat. What happens if Mr. Gademan and his brother Mr. Conrad Gustavsson recently back from thirty years in the States must move away? We put wheels under the car and roll away. Where Nature's heart beats strong there are lots of free plots, says Mr. Gademan. Picture shows: 2.
