Manganese reacts with an acid

Manganese reacts with an acid. Manganese metal (Mn) reacts with 0.03M sulfuric acid (H2SO4) in a test tube. The reaction produces hydrogen gas (H2) bubbles: Mn + H2SO4 -> MnSO4 + H2. This is an example of a single displacement reaction.
